Face creams can be so expensive! Both conventional and natural moisturizers make huge claims, and have the price tags to accompany them. Because of this, I have developed my own Wrinkle-Reducing Whipped Nightly Moisturizer. I’m so happy with the results, of course I had to share!
Why do I need a moisturizer?
After I had my children, I noticed that my skin on my face began to change. Even at 35 years old, I noticed fine lines beginning to develop around my eyes, and the texture of my skin appearing ‘tired’. I had been using inexpensive, basic face creams (both natural and conventional), but I felt like my skin needed an extra boost to look more rejuvenated.
After researching what is in many anti-aging, moisturizing face creams, I have developed this Wrinkle-Reducing Whipped Nightly Moisturizer! I whip up a small batch, which lasts at least a month at a time. It is made of only 3 simple ingredients. Also, like so many of my recipes, it costs pennies to make! It helps firm skin, reduces fine lines, and refreshes while you sleep! I use it every night before bed!
Why I love this Whipped Nightly Moisturizer
Many expensive face moisturizers contain ingredients that are healthy and rejuvenating for the skin. However, they are often mixed in with a host of parabens, phthalates, and more. I don’t feel comfortable absorbing those known toxins into my skin on a daily basis. It was time to create an alternative that works! One more affordable than the natural alternatives as well!
Wrinkle-Reducing Whipped Nightly Moisturizer Ingredients
MSM
MSM is a supplement that helps boost collagen in the body, and is known to help reduce sagging skin, redness, and wrinkles. It is so effective, MSM has become known as The Beauty Mineral. It can be taken internally, but is also topically-absorbed, making it perfect for my Wrinkle-Reducing Whipped Nightly Moisturizer. I like to use the capsules in this face cream. Just pop them open and pour out the MSM powder.
Aloe Vera
One of the best ways to absorb MSM is to add Vitamin C. Adding Aloe Vera Gelly to my moisturizer helps ensure this Vitamin C is abundant.
The aloe vera I use in this recipe is also rich in Vitamin A. Vitamin A (also known as retinol ) is a common ingredient in expensive, fancy-pants anti-aging creams. Aloe also contains vitamin E, and a host of other vitamins and minerals that are wonderful for healthy skin! It has been known as a soothing, cooling skin product for centuries that helps improve skin tone and reduce redness.
Coconut Oil
Adding coconut oil to this Moisturizing Nightly Face Cream helps smooth and nourish the skin with even more revitalizing qualities. It helps improve collagen production as well, and is full of Vitamins A and E! Because coconut oil is naturally, well, oily, it is best used for night moisturizers, so it has time to absorb while you sleep 🙂
I used regular coconut oil for this moisturizer, but fractionated coconut oil is a great option for the skin as well, as it doesn’t clog pores. Note that if you choose to use fractionated coconut oil, you will have more of a liquid moisturizer than a solid, creamy one.
How to make Wrinkle-Reducing Whipped Nightly Moisturizer
- In a glass bowl, place 2 tbsp Aloe Vera Jelly. Open 3 capsules of MSM 1000 and add to Jelly. Stir until well combined. Let sit a few minutes to help MSM dissolve.
- Add 3 tbsp coconut oil. Mix into aloe and MSM. Whip with a spoon rapidly to create a fluffy, white, creamy texture.
3. Store Night Cream in a small glass jar.
4. Each night, simply rub a small amount in hands to melt and apply all over face. Cream will be slightly oily at first, but will dissolve into the skin in a few minutes.
*Note: If you find that coconut oil causes breakouts on your skin, just omit it! You can still mix the aloe and MSM to create a cooling, soothing face treatment!

Aloe Vera Gelly I highly recommend this specific Aloe. It had the juice and the jelly of the plant, as well as some extra vitamins A, E, & C!

Can this be left on the counter? Or does it need refrigeration?

Hello! This moisturizer doesn’t need to be kept in the fridge. If your house is particularly warm, the oil may melt, so a cool dark place is best (like a cabinet).
